SUSTAINABILITY
environmental and social

For Politecnica, sustainability means integrating environmental and social criteria into every phase of the project, promoting shared solutions that combine efficiency, resilience, and positive impact. It is through cooperative, multidisciplinary, and participatory work that lasting value is generated for communities and the environment.

Our Commitment

Since 2023, Politecnica has been a participant in the United Nations Global Compact, upholding its Ten Principles on human rights, labor, the environment, and the fight against corruption, and publishing an annual Communication on Progress to share the results achieved with stakeholders and the global community. In 2024, a company delegation attended the Leaders Summit in New York, an international conference that brings together representatives from institutions, politics, business, and civil society to discuss the progress and challenges of global sustainability.

Through workshops and networking, the Summit provided an important opportunity for learning and dialogue, reinforcing Politecnica’s commitment to integrating the principles of the Global Compact into its corporate strategy, organizational culture, and operational practices. Participation in the Summit demonstrates the company’s concrete commitment to being an active part of the shift toward shared sustainable development.

BUILDING SUSTAINABILITY MEANS TAKING CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND PEOPLE

through an integrated approach, grounded in data, expertise, and shared responsibility. Every project is an opportunity to revitalize communities, improve quality of life, and reduce environmental impact, thanks to advanced and inclusive technical solutions. It is through collaborative work—open to dialogue and focused on the common good—that we transform challenges into opportunities, creating value for the present and safeguarding the future.

BEING PIONEERS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MEANS EMBRACING THIS VISION AND TRANSLATING IT INTO CONCRETE ACTION
At Politecnica, we believe that sustainability requires collective action, in which every person has the power and responsibility to drive change. To address the challenges of the ecological transition, we must trigger a chain reaction that only dialogue, discussion, and collaboration can make possible.

The award was granted in recognition of his contribution to the construction of the New Coastal Highway in Belize, a 58-km strategic infrastructure project inaugurated in 2023 that successfully balanced mobility, safety, and environmental protection needs through the use of advanced technologies for soil stabilization and the preservation of coastal and forest areas.
